Fluorescent Tube Light Vs LED Tube Light: Which one is better?

After all, both glow, they both appear to be similar and are both beautiful looking. However, a large mass of customers remains confused about which one is better.

There certainly is nothing brain consuming in regards to which one is better – obviously LED Tube Light is far way better. You don’t need to be an electrical expert, to explain why LED Tube Light is better.
Fluorescent might be less expensive than LED Tube light, but it is not pricing that justifies the judgment.

Be it in office, or at home; be it around in the library, or at outdoor spaces, consumers wonder which light is better. Consumers get persuaded by sellers and fail to the idea about the product options they have.

The following points describe LED light details in-depth, highlighting why LED tube Light is better than Fluorescent lights.

Built-in Materials

LED Tube lights are made from aluminum backbones, high-quality electrical components that are designed with nonhazardous materials. They are free from harmful elements like mercury, lead, and other toxic components ensuring healthy lightning service.
On the other hand, fluorescent tube light is made up of glass, metal, mercury, and plastic. They are hazardous and can impact the vicinity.
If these lights broke down, the risk of exposure to mercury increases, which would be harmful to anyone’s health.

Life Span

On an honest note, fluorescent tubes last somewhere around 3 to 5 years. They start flickering the visibility and gradually go down. This phase would cause headaches, eyestrain, etc.
But, LED Tubes lasts longer than those fluorescent tubes. They last around 70,000 hours of testing – meaning they have a long life span. LED Tubelight will pay for itself with the time passage.
LED Tube lights might seem costly, but on considering their total life span and electricity bills – they rather turn out to be less expensive.

No UV Radiations

LED Tubelights are almost free from any sort of ultraviolet emissions. Fluorescent tube lights spread ultraviolet emissions across the human body.
These ultraviolet radiations are said to be harmful to the human body. And exposure to these radiations can cause dangerous diseases like cancer, corneal damage and even complete or partial loss of vision. They also have a significant impact on the skin.
LED Tubelights are therefore safer for kids and elderly aged persons.

Easy Installation

LED Tubelights are easy to install. Unlike Fluorescent tube lights, there won’t be need of an electrician for installing or replacing the fluorescent tube lights. As a result, these LED tubes would be easy to fix around.
Fluorescent tube lights will require a ballast for normal operation as well. One should be equipped with basic knowledge about electricity repair and procedures to install these fluorescent tube lights.
LED tube light can be installed, and lighted by any layman as well. And, you should not be an electrician to change or install it.

Color Rendering

Because of color wavelengths spike at blue, green and red – fluorescent lights generate harsher color rendering. Hence, fluorescent lighting is not flattering lighting. They are natural sunlight which will produce the smooth color transition from blue to green to again red.
On the other hand, the most drastic difference that one can notice with an LED light is that it will closely resemble natural sunlight. It is because all spectrum of color are represented in the LED chips, which will produce the brightest white. Hence, every color will be replicated seamlessly helping to improve focus, productivity along with the health. Hence, the LED tube light stands way beyond.

Money Saver

LED tube light is certainly expensive than fluorescent tube light. This is the reason why people get attracted to fluorescent tube light instead of LED tube light.
However, LED tube light is energy-efficient and consumes less amount of electricity – creating minimum electricity consumption. They will reduce your electricity consumption lowering the electricity bill for sure.
In the long run, LED tube light would rather be less expensive than fluorescent for sure. One time investment will result in lower electricity bills every month. That should be impressive enough.

Environment-Friendly

Looking towards the next aspect, these LED lights are environment-friendly too. They produce less heat and has a feature of environment-friendly lighting capability.
They don’t consume mercury and saves energy too. In the meantime, these LED lights are recyclable too. Be it aluminum, or plastic, or electrical components – they can be recycled. Fluorescent, on the other hand, cannot be recycled and there has to be special attention to the disposal of these lights as well.
In this degrading air of the environment, the roles of fluorescent lights are of huge significance. LED tube lights contribute for the environment creating a healthy place to live in.

Efficiency

LED lights produce maximum light with no wasteful heats around. Fluorescent tubes produce around 50-100 lumens per watt. It is because the energy that is produced goes wasted with the transformation over the heat.

Again, LED light works efficiently even during extremely cold weather when most of the other lights are not able to ensure proper lighting around. The weather will not make any significant impact thereby.

From every angle, it can be traced out that these LED lights are way better in every term. The lightning practices came out of history.
Smaller in size, with higher output – where you can opt for your color preference – there certainly should not be any sort of confusion regarding these lights quality.
So, there should not be any sort of confusion regarding which one is better – LED is way better – for everyone, everywhere and at any time.
